Supporting mental health and personal growth through Equine-assisted therapy

Out of Class is a charity run by a dynamic team of people who think difference is good. We believe dreams are where plans are born and just because someone has fallen short of the academic measure used by our education system it shouldn’t mean the end of opportunity altogether. Struggling academically doesn’t always mean working harder... sometimes it just means working differently, thinking outside the box and in our case outside of class.

Out of Class provides outdoor activities to support youth mental health and development. More often than not this includes courses with our trained therapy horses and dogs!

Our mission

Our charity has always supported disadvantaged young people through outdoor activities including therapeutic work with horses and dogs. However, as time passed we realised just how effective this work is and have opened our own stables to become a specialist centre for Equine-assisted therapy.

Our mission is to support disadvantaged young people regardless of background, race or gender. We are here for those who need us, with particular focus on those who are least likely to access support elsewhere.

Our charitable objectives

PLEASE NOTE: Our Charity name is about to change to “Stable Minds” to reflect our focus on Equine-assisted projects and our charitable aims and objectives are being slightly altered to reflect this.

Current objectives:

To advance in life and help young people who are academically challenged or disadvantaged by providing programs of physical, educational and other activities as a means of;

A) Developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;

B) Advancing education

C) Relieving unemployment
